Will Rogers Elementary School runners did amazing at the Summerfest run. All of our students ran a 1 mile race. Our team won fastest team over all AND the most participant award. Laila was Will Rogers' Principal of the Day for being one of our top earners of the Jog A Thon. Our Will Rogers annual Spelling Bee will be held tomorrow @8:30am. The winner of our Spelling Bee will represent Will Rogers in the regional competition held at CSUCI in Camarillo. 

Our annual carnival hosted by our PTA was ton of fun. The fiesta themed event included many activities that all students, families, friends and staff could partake in. Thank you PTA for your hard work and for hosting such a fun filled night!

Along with being amazing scholars, our Will Rogers students are wonderful artists too! Mrs. Cherry, our art specialist teacher, visits classrooms throughout all grade levels during the week. She teaches students various exciting forms of art. 

Our Will Rogers Spelling Bee champion Adler Striegel well represented us in the annual Scripps Regional Spelling Bee on March 7, 2015. The spellers ranged between 3rd grade- 8th grade. 37 kids scored high enough to go on to the oral bee. 123 schools participated this year. Only one of the 123 kids got all of the words correct and about 7 missed one- putting Addie in the top 10 going into the Oral Bee. Addie rocked the written test only missing one!
