Message from the Principal



Dear Will Roger’s Families,

As we begin a new school year, albeit different from any other, I want you to know that you can depend on your Will Rogers Elementary School Family to partner with you to make this the best possible learning experience for your student(s).  As principal, teachers, staff, parents, and students, what we can achieve alone is no comparison to what we can accomplish collectively.  At Will Rogers Elementarys, we are, “Better Together.” 


Three themes that will be vital to meeting the needs of our children this school year are:  relationships, routines, and resilience.  Building the 3 Rs TOGETHER will help all of us not only survive, but thrive!  There are many ways we can support our students and each other. Take a look HERE for some ideas. 


Although there are some unknowns, uncertainties, and apprehension, our Will Rogers staff is dedicated to:

  • Providing a learning environment that fosters connection, care, and enjoyment.

  • Providing supplemental programs to support the individual needs of each student.

  • Providing synchronous (live) and asynchronous (recorded) whole group and small group instruction. Please be assured, your child will not be in front of a screen all day.

  • Adjusting the district schedules to align for school lunch distribution on Mondays, 11:30am-1:00pm to make things easier for families.

  • Learning and partaking in ongoing professional development to provide your child with a quality education.


As parents, we respect that you have choices to make regarding how your family is going to embrace our current situation.  Here are some thoughts:

  •  recess and lunch across our Each family has different circumstances and needs, as do their children.  It is my privilege to attempt to answer questions that you may have.

  • There is no perfect choice right now - every plan has its limitations and strengths.

  • Be positive with your children about their lives, their learning, and their opportunities - this will afford them confidence and hope.

  • Showing empathy and compassion for one another in abundance will help cultivate positive relationships which is at the heart of learning.


We are working on preparing technology, textbooks and backpacks with supplies. Each grade level will have a supply distribution schedule that your child’s teacher will share with you.

Mensaje de la Directora

Estimadas familias de la escuela primaria Will Rogers:

Al comenzar un nuevo año escolar, aunque diferente a cualquier otro, quiero que sepa que puede confiar en que la familia de la escuela primaria Will Rogers se unirá a usted para hacer la mejor experiencia de aprendizaje posible para su (s) estudiante (s). Como directora, maestros, personal, padres y estudiantes, lo que podemos lograr solos no se compara con lo que podemos lograr colectivamente. En la escuela primaria Will Rogers, somos "mejores juntos".


Tres temas que serán vitales para satisfacer las necesidades de nuestros niños este año escolar son: relaciones, rutinas y resiliencia. ¡Construir las 3 R JUNTOS nos ayudará a todos no solo a sobrevivir, sino a prosperar! Hay muchas formas en que podemos apoyar a nuestros estudiantes y a los demás.


Aunque existen algunas incógnitas, incertidumbres y aprensión, nuestro personal de Will Rogers se dedica a:

  • Proporcionar un entorno de aprendizaje que fomente la conexión, el cuidado y el disfrute.

  • Proporcionar programas complementarios para apoyar las necesidades individuales de cada estudiante.

  • Proporcionar instrucción sincrónica (en vivo) y asincrónica (grabada) para todo el grupo y para grupos pequeños. Tenga la seguridad de que su hijo no estará frente a una pantalla todo el día.

  • Ajustar los horarios del distrito para alinear la distribución de almuerzos escolares los lunes de 11:30 am a 1:00 pm para facilitar las cosas a las familias.

  • Aprender y participar en el desarrollo profesional continuo para brindarle a su hijo una educación de calidad.


Como padres, respetamos que tengan opciones que tomar con respecto a cómo su familia aceptará nuestra situación actual. Aquí hay algunos pensamientos:

 durante el recreo y el almuerzo. Cada familia tiene diferentes circunstancias y necesidades, al igual que sus hijos. Es un privilegio para mí intentar responder las preguntas que pueda tener.

No existe una opción perfecta en este momento: cada plan tiene sus limitaciones y fortalezas.

Sea positivo con sus hijos sobre sus vidas, su aprendizaje y sus oportunidades; esto les brindará confianza y esperanza.

Mostrar empatía y compasión por los demás en abundancia ayudará a cultivar relaciones positivas que son la base del aprendizaje.


Estamos trabajando en la preparación de tecnología, libros de texto y mochilas con útiles. Cada nivel de grado tendrá un cronograma de distribución de suministros que el maestro de su hijo compartirá con usted.
