As you are aware, The Leader in Me process is very much a part of who we are as a school. Leadership and the 7 Habits serve as our foundation and help us to unleash every child's unique gifts and talents while providing them with opportunities to be a leader.

There are just over 600 Leader in Me schools in the world. To be named a Lighthouse School is the ultimate goal for The Leader in Me schools. A school must demonstrate all nine of the standards set by Franklin Covey Education to reach this achievement. Some of the standards are creating a strong culture of leadership, application of the 7 habits, student achievement through data tracking, student/parent/staff satisfaction, and hosting a Leadership Day for visitors.

We always look forward to our Leadership Day. The students and staff get so very excited! We plan to highlight all of the amazing things we have accomplished as a school of leaders. Leadership Day also give us an opportunity to us the life skills we have learned. Life skills such as greeting people with eye contact and a firm handshake, public speaking, and showing how setting goals and tracking data have helped achievement.
