These students met every other Wednesday during their lunch time and gave up their recess to share about the books that they were reading.  Students enjoyed listening to a story being read aloud and engaged in genuine meaningful conversations about the books that they were reading.  Some of the Book Club activities included sharing their favorite quote or line from the story, choosing a passage to reveal what a particular character was like, and learning about the difference between plot and theme.  But most importantly, students had fun practicing their Spanish oral skills.  These students were recognized at the June awards assembly for their dedication and self-initiative to improve their Spanish skills.   Keep it up Will Rogers Broncos!

Estos estudiantes se reunieron cada dos miércoles durante su hora de almuerzo y dejaron su recreo para compartir acerca de los libros que estaban leyendo.  Los estudiantes disfrutaron escuchar historias leídas en voz alta y participaron en conversaciones genuinas acerca de los libros que estaban leyendo.  Algunas de las actividades del Club de Lectura incluyeron  compartir su parte favorita de la historia, la elección de un pasaje para revelar como era un personaje en particular y aprendieron acerca de la diferencia entre trama y tema.  Pero lo más importante, los estudiantes se divirtieron practicando su español.  Estos estudiantes fueron reconocidos en la asamblea de reconocimientos en junio por su dedicación y por su iniciativa propia para mejorar sus habilidades en español.  ¡Continúen haciendo un gran trabajo Broncos de Will Rogers!
