Welcome, and thank you for visiting our web site.  It is a pleasure to be a part of the team that makes Pierpont the great school that it is.  The Pierpont team is comprised of eager students, involved families, engaging teachers, and a caring support staff who work together towards the goal of educating and challenging our students.

This site will keep you up to date with events occurring at Pierpont, provide resources that can be used at home to support our students, and will keep you in contact with our staff and ever-working parent organization.  The Pierpont Parent Teacher’s Association is an integral part of our school and enriches and supports the educational experiences of all of our children. Please support our PTA by becoming a member, following their Facebook page, visiting their website, attending a PTA meeting, volunteering, or participating in fundraising efforts.

In addition to the sound, innovative educational strategies that are already in place in our classrooms, this year our staff will continue to provide greater educational opportunities for our children through the increased use of technology. Our focus for the 2016-2017 school year will be to begin implementing a marine science program at Pierpont.  In conjunction with the Next Generation Science standards we look forward to utilizing our amazing location to further develop engaging science curriculum.  Please visit the curriculum page, for specific information regarding technology and marine science along with standards and curriculum for all of the subjects covered at Pierpont Elementary School.
